Lewis Pountney

My name is Lewis Pountney, my job is to reduce excess weight levels in the north of the Sandwell borough (Tipton, Wednesbury and West Bromwich) by working closely with all weight management services.

Our main strategy to complete this task is to increase referrals into our services from various sources such as GP’s, Hospitals and organisation. I work borough wide to improve provision and uptake for the following communities

Men
Black Asian Minority Ethnic communities
Vulnerable groups
Adults with disabilities

In my spare time I like to go to the gym, go on bike rides and spend time with friends and family. I enjoy playing and watching football on a regular basis alongside other competitive team sports.

I have a passion for my work and I love to educate others on the various ways they can improve their own lives through effective weight management.
